Triaction by Triumph brings over 140 years of expertise in women's fit, comfort, and support into the world of sports. As part of one of the world's most trusted lingerie brands, the company understands what women need to feel confident, comfortable, and supported throughout every exercise and run.

Built on decades of experience in designing for the female body, Triaction by Triumph sports bras combine exceptional fit, lasting comfort, and reliable support for runners of all levels. Their products are designed to help women stay focused on their performance, featuring scientifically proven bounce control of up to 70%, tested by the University of Portsmouth.

We recently spoke with Head of Design Europe Triumph Claudia Roos to find out more about the Triaction brand and their plans for IRX 2026.

1. What initiated Triaction and what market need is the brand looking to fulfil?
Launched in the late 1990s, Triaction brought deep experience and expertise to the sports sector to solve a real problem. After noticing a frustrating lack of high-impact sports bras designed for larger sizes, we set out to change that - specialising exclusively in high-performance support.

2. What makes Triaction different from standard sports bras for high impact running?
Our designs prioritise everyday comfort through meticulous material selection and a flawless fit. Crafted from exceptionally lightweight, breathable fabrics, our bras feature innovative 3D spacer technology in the cups to provide seamless support up to larger sizes.

To prevent digging, the straps are lightly padded and fully adjustable at both the front and back for a truly customised fit. This precise engineering delivers high-performance functionality, achieving 65% to 70% bounce control as independently tested by the University of Portsmouth.

3. What is the best way for a runner to find their ideal size?
For the perfect fit, it is best to have a store assistant measure you. They can accurately determine your exact underbust measurement and cup size.

4.  What feedback from real runners has influenced your latest product designs?
As mentioned earlier, our bras are thoroughly tested for comfort and support through our partnership with Portsmouth University, alongside our own internal testing across various sizes.

Feedback from both researchers and female athletes highlights the comfortable, highly adjustable straps as a major benefit. Additionally, the back hook-and-eye closure makes the bras exceptionally easy to put on and take off. To ensure maximum comfort during high-intensity exercise, we also design our sports bras entirely without metal wires, preventing the painful digging and chafes often caused by traditional underwires.

5. When a professional athlete is training for long periods, what specific features keep the bra from failing or chafing over those elite miles?
Designed to endure your extra-long workouts, Triaction innovative spacer technologies deliver continuous support without losing functionality from body heat or sweat. The soft, breathable fabric features a quick-dry finish to keep you comfortable throughout your training, while adjustable straps allow you to easily customize the fit to your exact needs.

6. How do you ensure eco-friendly fabrics stay strong enough to maintain a 70% bounce reduction over hundreds of miles?
To ensure the highest quality, all our materials are Oeko-Tex certified. We also conduct our own strict testing for colorfastness, washability, and pilling resistance so your items last.

7. What can visitors to The International Running Expo (IRX) 2026 expect from you? Are there any plans for the expo you can reveal at this stage?
At IRX 2026, we are excited to introduce the running community to Triaction by Triumph, demonstrating how our deep lingerie expertise elevates sportswear design. Drop by stand H20 to meet our team, explore our innovative sports bra collections, and discover how over 140 years of mastery in women's fit and support have been reimagined specifically for runners. Visitors can also connect with us to discuss exciting new partnerships and collaboration opportunities.

8. Looking beyond IRX, what are the short to long-term aims for Triaction?
In the short term, we aim to boost Triaction's visibility within the running community and forge key industry connections. Looking ahead, our long-term goal is to expand our footprint in the broader sportswear market. By leveraging Triumph's 140-year legacy of perfect fit and support, we will firmly establish Triaction as a premier, trusted sports bra brand.
